Clinical observation of the effect of the local mild hypothermia auxiliary therapy on cerebral hemorrhage

Objective:To observe the effect of the local mild hypothermia therapy on severe cerebral hemorrhage.Methods:74 patients were divided into two groups, treatment group (36 cases) and control group (38 cases). Regular treatment was used in both groups, and the local mild hypothermia therapy was just applied in treatment group. Neural function scale, cerebral hematoma and cerebral edema were observed before treatment and 21 days after treatment.Results:Neural-function scale and cerebral edema in treatment group decreased significantly after treatment at 21d (P0.05), compared with those in control group. Cerebral hematoma have no remarkable difference in two groups (P0.05).Conclusion:The local mild hypothermia therapy can promote the neural-function recovery,significantly improve prognosis and reduce cerebral edema in cerebral hemorrhage patients.
