Abstract

Cognitive Grammar is a typical example of the recontextualization of grammatical study, because it has introduced contextual factors into the heart of the grammar. In contrast with pragmatics,Cognitive Grammar is mainly concerned with how contextual factors participate in the construction of the grammatical system, that is,it focuses on the role of contextual factors in the construction of the grammatical system. In Cognitive Grammar, contextual factors, through conceptualization,Abstraction and grammaticalization, constitute a basic framework for the grammatical system. There is a complementary relationship between Cognitive Grammar and pragmatics in the study of language in context.
