Abstract
Objective: To investigate the chemical constituents of the whole herbs of Potentilla discolor Bunge. Methods: The chemical constituents in normal butanol fraction of 90% ethanol extract from the whole herbs of P.discolor were isolated and purified by column chromatography over silica gel,ODS,Sephadex LH-20 and macroporous adsorptive resins. The structures were identified on the basis of physico-chemical properties and spectral data analyses. Results: A flavone glycoside was isolated and identified as kaempferol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranside butyl ester-(2→1)-β-D-xyl opyranoside(1).Conclusion: Compound 1 is a new compound.
