Abstract

The situation of producing metallo-β-1 actamases and the genotypes in imipenem-resistant P.aeruginosaisolate in hospital were investigated in this study.Antimicrobial susceptibility testing of 16 kinds of antibiotics was conducted with Kirby-Bauer method.And EDTA disc was used to screen metallo-β-lactamase-producing strains from imipenem-resistant P.aeruginosa.Metallo-β-lactamase genes were amplified by PCR and then sequenced.In our experiment,4 metallo-β-lactamase producing strains were screened from 53 strains of carbapenem resistance P.aeruginosaby EDTA disc synergy test.And 3 of 4 strains were confirmed by PCR,and DNA sequencing indicated that they were VIM-2 gene-type.These results showed that the VIM-2 isoform of metallo-β-lactamase in P.aeruginosa was becoming the prevalent and most clinically significant determinants of carbapenem resistance in our hospital.Therefore,it should be paid more attention to the epidemiology and therapeutic management.The antibiotics should be used rationally according to the antibiotic resistance.
