Abstract
Aiming at the problem of the planning project in new Panjin port,it is built a 2DNumerical model of tidal current and sediment to research the tidal current field change and the siltation characteristics before and after construction of the project. There is well validated between the calculation data of tide level, velocity, flow and sediment and the measured data. This paper briefly introduces the natural condition and fluvial process of the seabed, and also researches the hydrodynamics surrounding initial project and planning project. The results show that hydrodynamic field of the surrounding area of project changes slightly, and the siltation of harbor and channel siltation is smaller. The siltation thickness of the integral project is less than the initial projec1 t.In normal years, the siltation amount of the planning project is 1.87 million m3.
