Abstract

Objective: to observe the effect of Ruanganhuajian Keli(RGHJ) on histopathology of hepatic fibrosis in C57 mice. Methods: 60 C57 mice were randomly divided into 6 groups, namely normal control group, normal RGHJ group, model control group, model low-dose RGHJ group, model high-dose RGHJ group and model colchicine group,10 in each group.Hepatic fibrosis mice were made by intraperitoneal injection of carbon tetrachloride.Calculate the liver index, observe the pathological changes of liver with optical microscopy, and evaluate the liver inflammation and fibrosis. Results: both the liver index and fibrosis in high and low-dose groups and colchicine group were significantly lower than those in model control group(P0.05).In addition, both liver fibrosis score and inflammation score in high-dose group were significantly lower than those in low-dose group and colchicine group with significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion: RGHJ has some effect on prevention and treatment of experimental hepatic fibrosis.
