Abstract

By UV spectrophotometry the maximum wavelength of diosgenin was determined at 452 nm,and the optimized experiment conditions were studied: 5 % vanillin-glacial acetic acid solution dosage of 0.2 mL,high acid solution dosage of 0.7 mL,water bath temperature of 80 ℃,water bath time of 15 min, storage time of 20 min.The RSD of precision experiment was 1.123 %,and the average recovery of experiment adding standard could be 99.5 %.The method was simple, stable, sensitive, and reproduced well.
