Abstract
Objective:To study the expression and clinical significance of E2F1 in human epithelial ovarian carcinomas.Methods:Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of E2F1 in the cancer tissues of human epithelial ovarian carcinomas,and benign ovarian tumor and normal ovarian tissues.Statistics was used to analyze the data.Results:The positive expression rate of E2F1 in epithelial ovarian cancer tissues and borderline tumor were 81.3% and 60%,while the positive expression rate of E2F1 in the benign ovarian tumor and the normal ovarian tissues were 40% and 16.7% respectively,with significant difference between epithelial ovarian cancer tissues and normal ovarian tissues(P0.05).The expression of E2F1 in epithelial ovarian cancer tissues was not correlated with the tumor stage,pathological type,lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis.Conclusions:The results suggest that E2F1 is over expressed in epithelial ovarian carcinomas,and anomalous expression of E2F1 may be related to the ovarian tumor genesis and progression.E2F1 was cancer factor in epithelial ovarian carcinomas.
