Abstract
An effective scheme is presented for calculating the thermal boundary condition of the piston set of 4105 diesel engine. By using the COSMOS/M software, 3-D finite element analysis of the temperature field and heat transfer in the piston set under thermal loading is carried out. The thermal deformation and clearance change are calculated as well. The results are beneficial to the improvement of the design of piston set.
