Abstract
Germination experiment was carried out using different concentration of Ca2+ to handle the seeds of Pinus massoniana and Bichofia polycarpa. The result indicated that the reactions of two kinds of seeds to Ca2 + concentration were different. All germination indexes of Bichofia polycarpa seeds reduced with Ca2 + concentration increasing.Ca2 + disposed the seeds of Bichofia polycarpa could restrain bourgeoning. The bourgeon rate, germination rate, germinative energy, vigor index, germination index, relative penetrativity of cytoplasmic membrane and the length of root length of Pinus massoniana seedling changed with Ca2+concentration.The main tendency was low Ca2+concentration promoting germination, and the high Ca2+ concentration restraining germination.20 mmoL/L calcium was best to seed germinating of Pinus massoniana.
