Abstract

The effects of different Cu2+ and Cd2+ stress on seed germination and seedling growth of Pinus massoniana were studied under indoor culture condition to know tolerance of Pinus massoniana to heavy metals, and seek the optimum regression equation of germination rate and root length with concentration. The results showed that both 5 mg/kg Cu2+ and 1 mg/kg Cd2+ had certain promotion effect on seed germination rate and root length of Pinus massoniana,10 mg/kg Cd2+had significant inhibition effect on seed germination rate and root length of Pinus massoniana and the inhibition effect on seed germination rate and root length of Pinus massoniana increased with the increase of Cd2+ stress. The regression analysis indicated that the regression correlation between heavy metal concentration and seed germination rate should be analyzed by Growth model and the regression correlation between heavy metal concentration and root length should be analyzed by Exponential model.
