Abstract

In theories of realistic literature,Marx and Engels' discussion about type occupies an important position.Type is not only a pure aesthetic category,it is a literature category that lays particular stress on cognition,and its object and area of cognition,will be decided by ideology and mode of cognition.Therefore,the meaning of type in its process of development is related to its pattern of cognition.
