Analysis the therapeutic effect on the diabetic foot in 25 cases by the treatment of combined therapy with prostaglandin E1.

Objective To explore the the therapeutic effect on the diabetic foot by the treatment of combined therapy with prostaglandin E1(PGE1).Methods 46 cases with diabetic foot were divided into control group(n=21) and study group(treated with PGE1,n=25).The control group was treated with the normative whole body and local treatment,and the study group was treated with PGE1 extra.Results Of the study group,16 cases were cured,5 cases were improved,and the total effective rate was 84.0% and the cure rate was 64.0%.While of the control group,6 cases were cured,5 cases were improved,and the total effective rate was 52.4% and the cure rate was 28.6%.And there were significant differences of the total effective rate and the cure rate(P0.05).In the study group,there were 3 cases with blood vessel flushing,and 2 cases blushing,and 2 cases dizzy,and 1 case with local pain,nauseated and vomited,and 1 case tremor of hands.But all the complications were eliminated in 2 hours after stopping giving PGE1.Conclusion Treatment with the combined therapy with PGE1 of diabetic foot was safe and effective,and it can improve the cure rate and decrease the mutilation rate.This treatment should be wildly used.
