Practice of valuing witchcraft in the Wei and Jin Dynasties

Under the special historical circumstances of political chaos and people's having much hardship in the Wei and Jin Dynasties,witchcraft,as a folk belief instead of a religious form,existed extensively in various social strata,especially among the people,which greatly affected people's life.Along with the historical development,witchcraft in the Wei and Jin Dynasties showed characteristics of folk custom,etiquette and religion and became an essential part of the social culture of the Wei and Jin Dynasties.
