Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of conjunctival flap transposition or amniotic membrance transplantation combinating with mitomycin C for pterygitun.Methods The patients with pterygium were divided into two groups(Ay B group) by double blind.All of cases were accepted operation, mitomycin C was applied one time during operation.Then group A were performed with conjunctival flap transposition and group B were performed with amniotic membrancx transplantation,Observed symptoms,healing of corneal epithelium and rate of recurrence after operation.Results Following up for six months, the recurrence rate was 2.7% in group A,and 6.13% in group B.There was no statistically significant between two groups(χ2=0.484, P0.05). Conclusions onjunctival flap transposition or amniotic membrance transplantation combinating with mitomycin C are all effective to prevent pterygium recurrence.
