Abstract
Expression of Hoxa7 mRNA was detected using in situ hybridization technique during hair follicle development.Results showed that Hoxa7 gene expressed mainly in inner root sheath of primary hair follicle at the embryonic period of 95 days.Then with the development of hair follicle,Hoxa7 gene expressed in inner root sheath,hair shaft of secondary hair follicle and inner root sheath,hair shaft cortex of primary hair follicle at 115 and 125 days respectively.During anagen,Hoxa7 gene expressed in hair shaft cortex of primary hair follicle and hair shaft of secondary hair follicle.This result indicated that Hoxa7 gene might play a role in proliferation of hair follicle cells.
