Abstract

Trace amounts of Mg,Ca,Fe,Zn,Mn,Pb,Cr and Cu in hawthorn were determined by flame atomic absorption spetrometry. The sample was treated by microwave assisted sample digestion.Influential factors, including the volume ratio of HNO3 and HClO4 used for sample digestion, power of microwave in digestion, and time of digestion were studied and optimized.Linear relationships between values of absorbances and mass concentrations of the 8 metal elements were obtained in a definite range.Only 5 elements,i.e.,Mg,Ca,Fe,Zn and Mn,were found in hawthorn as determined by the proposed method, and their contents obtained were 1.49,3.15,0.86,0.003 2 and 0.052 mg·g-1 respectively.Values of recovery found by standard addition method were in the range of 94.2%-109.3%.
