Survey on the actuality of nitrate pollution in vegetables of the Shuangzhu market

The nitrate content of 60 samples of 16 main vegetables in shuangzhu was investigated.The results showed that the nitrate content of root,caudex and fruit vegetables was slightly over the standard,such as ternip,lettuce and new pumpkin,romaine lettuces and fagiolinies were polluted intermediately,and the nitrate content of cucumbers was lower,moreover the nitrate content of bitter melons and bean sprout didn't been detected.The edible security of vegetables was evaluated and countermeasures controlling nitrate pollution in vegetables were proposed as well.
