Abstract

Objective:To explore Nitric oxide(NO) levels in serum of rats with atrophic gastritis treated by Tiaoweishu Granules. Methods:SD rats were randomly divided into five groups which were normal control group, atrophic gastritis model group,Tiaoweishu granules low-dose group,Tiaoweishu Granules high-dose group, and Sanjiuweitai treatment group.Change of weight was observed after treatment and contents of NO in serum were determined.Groups were compared after statistics processing. Results:Content of NO in serum of high-dose group and low-dose group were significantly higher than those of model group and Sanjiuweitai treatment group(P 0.05).Content of NO in serum of high-dose group was significantly higher than that of low-dose group(P 0.05).Rats putting more weight in high-dose group than ranitidine model group,low-dose group, and control group. Conclusion:Tiaoweishu Granules has a therapeutic effect on rats with atrophic gastritis and certain influence on NO in serum.Different dosage of Tiaoweishu granules has different effects on NO in serum. This could be one of the mechanisms of Tiaoweishu granules treating atrophic gastritis.
