Abstract

Objective:Discussing the means and clinic value of transcatheter arterial embolization in traumatogenic hemorrhage of the nose.Methods:Analyzing retrospectively traumatized blood vessel, arteriographic character, embolized material, embolized part and following up outcome in 21 cases from January 1995 to June 2002.Results:All cases were cured, no complication and recurrent hemorrhage.Conclusion:Transcatheter arterial embolization with foam and coil is an appropriate and useful treatment in traumatogenic hemorrhage of the nose.
