Clinic value of selective transcatheter target artery embolization in complex traumatic arterial hemorrhage

Objective To explore the clinic value of selective transcatheter target artery embolization in complex traumatic arterial hemorrhage.Methods 38 patients,who were confirmed with traumatic arterial hemorrhage,were operated by angiography and selective transcatheter target artery embolization 1-32 days(average 6.2±2.4 hours) after embolization with gelfoam particles or strips,and stainless steel coils according to bleeding part and angiographic findings.Results All parents were operated by selective transcatheter target artery embolization successfully within half to two hours,the success rate of embolization was 100%.Active hemorrhage stopped,hemorrhagic shock was corrected,effective rate was 100%,35 cases came out of hospital after rehabilitation,2 cases died from DIC,1 case died from craniocerebral injury.There was no serious embolic complication.Conclusion Selective transcatheter target artery embolization is a safe and effective technique to treat complex traumatic arterial hemorrhage,which provides a new way to treat complex traumatic arterial hemorrhage.
