Diagnostic value of cystatin C on the early renal damage

Objective To discuss clinical value of cystatin C(Cys C)in the diagnosis of early renal damage.Methods Retrospective analysis the data of 140 cases of chronic renal failure patients treated in our hospital from 2011 June to 2013 June.Cys C,urinary β2-microglobulin and creatinine levels in serum were detected,the indicators of those in early renal damage and healthycontrols were analyzed,and compared.Results Two groups had no significant difference in gender,age(P0.05).The levels of Cys C in serum,the urineβ2-microglobulin and serum creati in patiens of renal function injury were significantly lower than those of healthy subjects(P0.05).Specificity and sensitivity of Cys C were more significant than those of urine β2-microglobulin and serum creatinine(P0.05).Conclusion The serum Cys C levels in patients has good specificity and sensitivity,injury on renal function of patients was evaluated,timely,accurateiy by Cys C,Cys C is of great value in diagnosis of early renal dama.
