Abstract
Objective To investigate the value of serum cystatin C(Cys-C) in the diagnosis of diabetes incorporate renal damage.Methods 98 patients with diabetes were divided into serum cystatin C/creatinine(Cys-C/Cr) normal group 87 patients)and abnormal groups(11 patients).The levels of Cys-C,serum creatinine(Cr),urea nitrogen(BUN),albumin(AlB) and uric acid(UA) in 98 diabetes patients and 32 health controls were determined.Results The detection percentage of biochemical indexes for diabetes incorporate renal damage in Cys-C/Cr normal patients group were in the order of Cys-CCrBuNAlB/UA;and in Cys-C/Cr abnormal patients group were in the order of Cys-CAlBCrBuNUA.Conclusion The detection of Cys-C could improve the detection rate of diabetes incorporate renal damage.
