Comparison of Holmium laser lithotripsy and pneumatic lithotripsy in therapeutic effect of upper ureteral calculi

【Objective】To compare the therapeutic effect and safety of holmium laser lithotripsy and pneumatic lithotripsy in the treatment of upper ureteral calculi.【Methods】A holmium laser lithotripsy treatment of 55 cases,pneumatic lithotripsy treatment of 30 cases of upper ureteral calculi efficacy,and compared with statistical difference between the two(χ2=77.994,P 0.01).【Results】Holmium laser lithotripsy gravel success rate of 96.36%,pneumatic lithotripsy gravel success rate of 73.33%.Holmium laser lithotripsy There were no significant complications,pneumatic lithotripsy group of ureteral perforation occurred in 2 cases,ureteral spasm in 1 case,transit open surgery in 1 case.【Conclusions】 In the treatment of upper ureteral calculi,the holmium laser lithotripsy than pneumatic lithotripsy has a better therapeutic effect and safety.The Holmium laser lithotripsy the treatment of upper ureteral calculi,a new safe and effective method.
