Clinical observation on intranasal Beconase(beclometasonum) in allergic rhinitis

objective An open randomized comparative Study was conducted in order to observe the efficacy about intranasal Beconase in the treatment of allergic rhinitis. Method Forty-eight patients with allergic rhinitis were treated with Beconase aqueous nasal spray ( 100ug once daily intra-nasally ) for 4 weeks. Another forty-eight patients with allergic rhinitis take one pill of Ketotifen per day. Efficacy was evaluated by measurement of nasal symptom scores and sign scores. Result All the parameters measured were improved after treatment . the scores of nasal secretions ,itchy feeling of the nose showed a significant decrease than that before treatmen(tP0.05 ). No serious adverse events were reported in the study . Conclusion Intranasal Beconase was effective and safe in alleviating the symptoms of allergic rhinitis .
