Zhang Tai-yan Expounding on the Learning of Qing Dynasty

The learning of Qing dynasty is higlighted in Zhang Tai-yan's vision field of learning history.His comments and interpretations on some schools of learning and senior masters are generally fair and true which display the scientific spirit of modern scholars in the review of the learning history of Qing dynasty.Meanwhile,his study has the strong realistic implication because of the era factor.His works discussed the learning history of Qing dynasty can roughly fall into two categories:the general statement on the overall feature,schools distribution and inheriting system of the learning of Qing dynasty,and the special statement on some concrete problems or some scholars of the learning of Qing dynasty.In the modern China,he is the first scholar in explaining systematically the learning history of Qing dynasty,so his opinions are basically original and have a far-reaching influence on the later generations.
