Abstract
Objective:To explore the efficacy and safety of Aripiprazole in the treatment of schizophrenia. Methods:111 cases of patients with schizophrenia were randomly divided into Aripiprazole group (n=56) and Clozapine group (n=55). Positive and negative symptoms scale (PANSS) and treatment emergent symptom scale (TESS) were used to measure the efficacy and safety before treatment and treatment at the end of 1st,2nd,4th,6th and 8th week respectively. Results:There was no significant difference in efficacy between two groups (P0.05). However, significant differences were observed between two groups in the reduction rates of scales about cognitive factors and negative symptoms. Conclusion:Aripiprazole is a safe and effective agent in the treatment of schizophrenia.
