Abstract

Metaphor's essence is to comprehend and experience one thing through another.Therefore,metaphor is the semantic interaction of the two cognitional fields.There are three essential factors in metaphor: tenor,vehicle and ground.On the basis of the analysis of the three features of metaphor,this article makes researches on the fundamental principles and skills of metaphor translation such as reservation of original images,conversion of images and abandonment of images.
