Efficacy of Microscrew Implant Anchorage in Orthodontics

Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of microscrew implant anchorage in treatment of orthodontics.Methods:Eighty adult patients with double jaw protrusion were enrolled and divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the different anchorage methods,with 40 patients in each group.The control group used the traditional straight wire appliance for correction,and the treatment group used the microscrew implants for correction.X-ray analysis was applied to observe and compare orthodontic efficacys of two methods.Results:There were no statically differences in values of upper incisor labial inclination(U1-SN),lower incisor labial inclination(L1-MP),upper and lower incisor axis angle(U1-L1)values before treatment between the treatment group and the control group(P0.05).However,after treatment,the values of U1-SN and L1-MP in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group,and U1-L1 value was higher than that in the control group(P0.05).All patients completed treatment,and no serious complications occurred.Conclusions:The efficacy of microscrew implant anchorage for the treatment of orthodontics is good.
