Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To probe into the drug use involved in outpatients in Beijing Tongzhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital so as to provide reference for clinical rational use of antibiotics.METHODS: A total of 9 006 pediatric outpatient prescriptions sampled from July to Dec.in 2010(prescriptions in two days each month were sampled) were analyzed statically using Excel.RESULTS: Of the total 9 006 prescriptions reviewed,injections were used in 3 132(34.78%) and antibiotics were used in 4 011(44.54%).CONCLUSION: The injections and antibiotics were frequently prescribed in pediatric outpatient department.It is urgent to tighten control in hospital by taking intervention measures such as prescription evaluation in order to promote standard and rational drug use especially the management on clinical use of antibiotics.
