Abstract
Objective:To explore an effective method to reduce neurogenic pulmonary edema, and pneumorrhagia in the treatment of severe hand, foot and mouth disease.Method:A retrospective analysis was used in 64 cases of severe hand, foot and mouth disease that were divided into treatment group and control group, both of which normally applied intracranial step-down,intravenous gamma globulin, corticosteroids, antivirus, and anti-infection symptomatic treatment and so on.Treatment group, however, were given 1 mg/kg of Furosemide intravenous injections at the time of admission.Result:The time of the improvement in central nervous system symptoms of treatment group was significantly shortened, and the occurrence rates of the neurogenic pulmonary edema and pneumorrhagia was reduced-an apparent difference compared with the control group(P0.05).Conclusion:Early application of Furosemide can significantly shorten the time of improvement in the central nervous system symptoms of severe HFMD patients and reduce the occurrence of neurogenic pulmonary edema and pneumorrhagia.
