Abstract
Objective:To study the expression of Growth -Associated-Protein-43(GAP-43) in the distal stump of rat sciatic nerve defect. Methods:Two weeks after rat sciatic nerve injury ,we investigated the expression of GAP-43 in the distal stump and normal nerve with immunohistochemical staining. Results: Positive reactions of GAP-43 were found on the surface of Schwann cell in distal stump while there is no expression in normal sciatic nerve. Conclution:GAP-43 localizes in the Schwann cell in distal stump after sciatic nerve injury ,but it can not be found in normal nerve.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
