Effects of nursing intervention on treatment compliance of patients with essential hypertension

Abstract
Objective To explore the effects of nursing intervention on treatment compliance of patients with essential hypertension. Methods One hundred patients with essential hypertension from physical examinations were randomly divided into an intervention group and a control group(50 cases of each group).A series of nursing interventions were implemented in the intervention group,but there were no interventions in the control group.After 6 months,the treatment compliance and blood pressure of the patients were investigated in both groups.Results The treatment compliance of patients in the intervention group was significantly higher than that in the control group,P0.01.The rate of reaching the standard of blood pressure of patients in the intervention group was significantly higher than that in the control group,P0.01.Conclusions Nursing intervention can improve the treatment compliance and the rate of reaching the standard of blood pressure of patients with essential hypertension.
