Abstract
Principal component analysis was applied to analyze rural resident per capita consumption expenditure in China. With rural residents' consumption expenditure data of 31 provinces,municipalities and autonomous regions in 2001,2006 and 2011 as the basis,residents' consumption in various regions of China was ranked from two dimensions of time and geographical space. The results showed that the current rural residents imbalance consumption level problem is getting worse,government should positively implement policy of shortening regional consumption gap.
