Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine prescription in the treatment of type 2 diabetes of yin deficiency and blood stasis involving metabolism of glucose and lipid together with intervening of blood circulation. Methods 60 subjects were randomized into two groups: treatment group, 30 cases undergone traditional Chinese medicine prescription and control group, 30 cases with“Zhonghuitang Mai- kang”. Both groups were undertaken a course of two months. The parameters as clinical symptoms, blood glucose. blood lipid and hemorheology before and after the trial and abverse effects were observed. Results Good effects were obtained in both groups, but the clinical symptoms and blood glucose improved more significantly in the treat- ment group than those in the control group(P<0.05). No adverse effects occurred in both groups. Conclusion Type 2 diabetes of yin deficiency and blood stasis patients show significant improvement in clinical symptoms, blood glucose、blood lipid and hemorheology after traditional Chinese medicine prescription therapy with well tolerance and no adverse effects.
