A Clinical Observation on Treatment of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine for 35 Cases of Type 2 Diabetes

Abstract
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of integrated therapy of Chinese and western medicine for type 2 diabetes. Methods Totally 69 cases of type 2 diabetes with qi-yin deficiency pattern were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.Western medicine treatment was given to control group,while Chinese medicine treatment was added in treatment group. Blood sugar,blood lipid,glycosylated hemoglobin A1c (GHbA1c),Chinese medical pattern and therapeutic effect were observed.Re- suits Fasting plasma glucose,postprandial 2 hours plasma glucose and GHbA1c decreased significantly in both groups(P0.01), es- pecially in treatment group(P0. 05).Blood lipid and score of Chinese medical pattern improved significantly in treatment group(P0.01).Conelusion The treatment of integrated Chinese and western medicine for type 2 diabetes has sure therapeutic effect.
