Abstract
The Standard for High School English Teaching is a programmatic document established by the Ministry of Education for directing the teaching of English in middle schools.Nevertheless,some inherent limitations make it difficult for its implementation.The multi-modeled teaching method is a novel teaching idea based on the teaching practice of experts in the circle of foreign language teaching and research.By mobilizing the different sense organs of the learner to cooperate with one another,the method can enhance memory,improve learning efficiency,and be helpful in solving the problems of high investment but low efficiency existing in the present English teaching in high schools.
