Abstract
Objective To probe into the knowledge of MSM(men who have sex with men) on AIDS/HIV in a small city and provide evidence for the targeted intervention on AIDS.Methods Convenience sampling and snowball sampling were used to select respondents;questionnaire was used for the research.Results A total of 214 MSM completed the investigation.There were significant differences among the MSM with different ages and frequency of onlineaccess;the knowledge of MSM on AIDS was mainly spread from public communication;those who had more sex partners had more knowledge on AIDS/HIV prevention than those who had fewer.Conclusion The knowledge of MSM on AIDS/HIV is still at a relatively low level.The age,the Internet and the number of sexual partners are the effective factors in the process of knowledge transmission.It is the key to seek for different methods with different characteristics.
