Clinical application of bronchoscopy in severe patients with pulmonary atelectasis

Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical application of bronchoscopy in severe patients with pulmonary atelectasis.Methods The clinical data of 34 cases severe patients with pulmonary atelectasis treated by fiberoptic bronchoscopy were retrospectively analyzed.Results Thirty-four patients were given forty-four times bronchoscopy treatment,and twenty-seven (79.4%) of them recovered from pulmonary atelectasis the same day or next day after treatment,four cases of them received two times bronchoscopy treatment,while three cases of them were given three times bronchoscopy,and all patients reexpansed well after bronchoscopy treatment,without cardiac arrest,bleeding and other serious complications.Conclusion Fiberoptic bronchoscopy is effective,safe and reliable in the treatment of severe patients with pulmonary atelectasis.
