Studying on Strategies of controlling Hospitalization Expenses Under the New Rural Cooperative Medical Scheme

OBJECTIVE To describe the changing feature of the New Rural Cooperative Medical Scheme(NCMS)medical hospitalization expenses in Beijing S District as the actual case,explore strategies of controlling medical expenses. METHODS Using descriptive analysis method, to analyze the distribution of medical expenses, and analyze quantitative effect with econometric model. RESULTS The medical flow of peasants with NCMS has great impact to the average hospitalization expenses. CONCLUSIONS Strengthening the supervision on contracted health facilities and enhancing the service ability of sub-unit hospitals should be carried out to control the over-increase of medical expenditure.
