Abstract

Objective To discuss a new method in preservation and restoration of mild and moderate periodontal loosened teeth.Methods Fifty-four patients of periodontal loosened teeth in dental clinics were treated by the fixation of PFM combined crowns and followed up from half a year to 5 years to observe the therapeutic effect.Results Of the 54 cases,52 cases got excellent result(96.30%),consisting of 120 tooth dentition(98.30%)and 377 tooth position(95.44%);1 case achieved good result(1.85%),including 1 teeth dentition(0.82%)and 5 tooth position(1.27%);1 case had poor result(1.85%),with 3 tooth dentition(2.46%)and 3 tooth position(3.29%).The excellent and good rates accounted for 98.10%.Conclusion Applying PFM crowns can preserve periodontal loosened teeth,control periodontal,restore masticatory function and aesthetic appearance.
