New Discovery of Degree Adverb “Lao”(老) in Northeast Dialect

On the basis of the previous research,five new research results of degree adverblao(老)in Northeast Dialect in pragmatic aspect are found: decorative adjectives can be defined as measurement adjectives with non-absolute nature; phrases of degree adverbslao + Vis not accepted,butlao + V + le(了)is established; degree adverblaoin the two negative structures is restricted greatly; there are differences and relations betweenlao P de(的)andlao P le(了),lao + Astructure is more free when used as adverbial or complement; lao le(老了) andlao bi zi(老鼻子) with slight differences meanlarge quantity.
