Study on Nitrate Pollution Status about Main Vegetables and Fruits in Ya'an City Market

[Objective] The pollution status about main vegetables and Fruits in Ya'an City market was investigated.[Method] Nitrate contents of main vegetables and fruits in Yaan city's markets were determined by disulfonic acid colorimetry method.Nitrate pollution levels were evaluated by evaluation criteria of nitrate content classification in China.[Result] According to the mean value of nitrate content,only cabbage's nitrate content,whose rate was 9.9%,exceeded the allowed standards and achieved a high degree of pollution among the 11 sample vegetables.The nitrate content of other 10 vegetables varieties had not exceeded the allowed standards,whose pollution rank was one level.The nitrate content of apple achieved the moderate pollution in 3 fruit varieties which were sampled,and the nitrate pollution ranks of banana and bumps were both one level,and the rate of exceeding the allowed standards was 33.3%.[Conclusion] The total level of nitrate content in vegetables and fruits of Ya'an City was low.
