Over the time, MENG Hao-ran is regarded as a “recluse and a “hermit poet, but actually, influenced by the atmosphere of Tang Dynasty, he cherishes the wish of becoming an official and a strong wish of this worldliness, which distances him from the so called “recluse or “lofty evaluations. The academic circle continues to use this concept, because it is related to the traditional concept of study and value standard, which is far from the actuality of his poems and personality.
