Most poets in the prosperous Tang Dynasty had their high-spirited style,broadminded verve,and supreme self-confidence.MENG Hao-ran,as one of the most important poets of the time,would surely manifest the times’ common feature in his poems,and this feature in MENG,comparatively,proved more salient.The brilliance of the prosperous Tang Dynasty was thoroughly expressed in MENG’s poetry with his distinctive style.Among many intangible successful factors,MENG’s anchoretic lifestyle exerted great influence on the formation of his and the times’ special feature.
