Management of ureteric calculi with ureteroscopic pneumatic lithotripsy(Report of 285 cases)

Objective:To evaluate the treatment of ureteric calculi with Swiss lithoclast pneumatic lithotriptor and prevention of complications.Methods:From January 2001 to February 2005, 285 patients with ureteric calculi were treated with ureteroscopy and Swiss lithoclast pneumatic lithotriptor.Results:265 of 285 patients (92.9%) were treated successfully in the first one session. all patients were showed no calculi after 3 months. 3 of 285 patients (1.1%) were found the perforation of ureter. None serious complications were found during and after operation.Conclusions:Treatment of ureteric calculi with this method has been safe , effective and less invasive.
