Abstract
Objective:To investigate clinical effect of high dose tamsulosin in treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia and overactive bladder.Methods:92patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia and overactive bladder were selected in hospital from June 2011 to June 2013.According to treatment, patients were divided into two groups.46 patients treated solifenacin as control group.46 patients treated tamsulosin as observation group.Course of treatment was 12 weeks.Patients received international prostate symptom score and overactive bladder score.Bladder spasm;urination;adverse reaction were compared between two groups. Results:International prostate symptom score and overactive bladder score in observation group were significantly lower than control group.Bladder spasm time;bladder spasm number;urgency number;frequent urination number;nocturia number in observation group were significantly less than control group.Difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Incidence of adverse reaction in observation group was lower than control group.Difference was not statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion:High dose tamsulosin can significantly improve clinical symptoms of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia and overactive bladder, which has less adverse reaction and high safety. That is worthy of clinical use.
