Comparison the curative effect between Azithromycin and Levofloxacin

Objective Compare the curative effect between Azithromycin and Levofloxacin.Methods Retrospective analysis the sequential therapy effect of community acquired pneumonia between Azithromycin and Levofloxacin.Results We chose 79 patients to study,40 cases used Azithromycin,and 39 cases used Levofloxacin,both groups didn't have significant difference in clinical manifestation(cough,expectoration,fever,chest pain,et al),X-ray of chest,bacterial culture,and detection mycoplasma antibody.The total effective rate of Azithromycin group was 70%,2 cases had adverse reaction(nausea,epigastric discomfort).The total effective rate of Levofloxacin was 84.6%,3 cases had adverse reaction(nausea and exanthema).There were significant difference between the two groups.Conclusion Levofloxacin is effective and safe antibiotics of experiential therapy community acquired pneumonia,but it may cause pseudomembranous enterocolitis.
