Abstract

Objective:To investigate the expression of P-gp、MRP and C-erbB-2 in breast cancer as well as the correlation between expression and clinical pathological characteristics. Methods:Examined the expression of P-gp、MRP and C-erbB-2 in 52 cases of the breast carcinomas and 40 cases of the normal breast tissues with the immunohistochemical technique(S-P method).Results:(1) The positive rate of P-gp and C-erbB-2 in tissues of breast cancer was higher than that in the normal breast tissues (P0.01), there was no significant difference for the expression of MDR between tissues of breast camer and those of normal breasts(P0.05). (2) There was no significant difference for the expression of P-gp, MDR among tissues of breast cancer with various kinds of pathological characteristics(P0.05); The positive rate of C-erbB-2 was statistically higher in tissues of breast cancer with metastasis in lymph nodes than those without metastasis in lymph nodes(P0.01).(3) P-gP expression is significantly higher in C-erbB-2 positive cases than in C-erbB-2 negative cases(P0.05).Conclusion: The higher expression of P-gp may participate the primary mechanism of drug fast in breast cancer, excluding that of MDR,C-erbB-2 may induce and elevate the expression of P-gp in breast carcinomas tissue.
