Efficacy Observation of Small Dosage of Mifepristone Combined with Misoprostol for Pregnancy Termination

OBJECTIVE:To observe the clinical efficacy of small dose of mifepristone combined with misoprostol for pregnancy termination.METHODS:From Jan.2006 to Dec.2007, 1682 cases of healthy women requested medical termination of pregnancy were randomly divided into 2 groups.Treatment group were treated with small dose of mifepristone combined with misoprostol (892 cases) and control group were treated with 150 mg mifepristone (790 cases).RESULTS:The complete abortion rate in treatment group was significantly higher than in control group, there was significant difference (P0.05).The incidence of moderate to severe pain, vaginal bleeding time and blood volume in treatment group were significantly less than in control group, there were significant differences between 2 groups (P0.05).Slight ADR had been observed in 2 groups during the treatment.CONCLUSION:The small dose of mifepristone combined with misoprostol is safe and effective method of terminating pregnancy with less ADR.
